WordPress & WooCommerce

WordPress and WooCommerce people who have seen this before.

Fixes, custom development, migrations and ongoing support. We have been working on WordPress since long before it ran a store, and on the servers underneath it for longer than that.

What does the site need?

Every field is required unless it says optional.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.

What people bring us.

WordPress is easy to start and gets complicated in the same places every time. WooCommerce adds money to the problem, which changes how much a bad hour costs.

The critical error email

A fatal error somewhere in a theme, a plugin or PHP itself, and an email that tells you almost nothing about which.

An update that went wrong

Core, a theme or a plugin updated, and something unrelated stopped working.

Plugins fighting each other

Two plugins doing the same job, or one abandoned three years ago and still running.

Checkout losing orders

Payments declining that shouldn't, orders stuck on pending, or a cart that empties on the way to paying.

Order and form emails not arriving

Usually mail delivery rather than WooCommerce, and usually fixable in an afternoon once you know that.

A store that has outgrown its theme

Custom fields, shipping rules or fulfillment logic bolted on until nobody wants to touch it.

A build somebody walked away from

Half-finished custom work with no documentation. We take these over regularly.

What we actually do with it.

Support and development from the same team, which matters more than it sounds: the people who fix your site are the people who know how it was built.

Diagnosis firstError logs, the database and the change history, before anything is deactivated to see what happens.
Custom themes and pluginsWritten to be readable by whoever comes after us, and updated rather than replaced when WordPress moves.
WooCommerce workCheckout, payments, shipping, tax, subscriptions and the integrations that connect a store to the rest of the business.
PerformanceSlow admin, slow product filtering and slow carts are usually queries and object caching, not a bigger server.
MigrationsHosts, platforms and domains, including the parts people forget: mail, DNS, certificates and the redirects.
The server underneathPHP versions, memory limits, database tuning and mail delivery are all the same conversation here.

WordPress and WooCommerce sites we work on.

All our work

Every one of these is a live client website. Open them and judge the work yourself.

Why Oogle.

Since 1999

Oogle has been working on the web since 1999, through every way of building a website that has come and gone since.

The whole stack

Design, development, hosting and infrastructure in one place, so a problem that crosses two of them doesn't become two vendors pointing at each other.

We stay

Most of our clients have been with us for years. We aren't looking for a project to hand over and leave.

Founder-led

Christopher Neuman started the company and still runs it. The people who scope your work are the people who do it.

Clients worldwide

We work with clients worldwide.

How we start.

  1. 01

    Tell us what's going on

The site address and what you're seeing. Screenshots are welcome.

  2. 02

    We take a look

We reproduce it and find the cause, on a copy rather than on your live store.

  3. 03

We tell you what it needs

Cause, fix, and what it takes. You decide from there.

  4. 04

    We handle it

The fix, and what to change so it doesn't come back.

Common questions.

Can you work on it without taking the store down?

Usually. Most of the work happens in logs and on a copy. Live changes get scheduled for a quiet hour.

We have a lot of plugins. Is that the problem?

Maybe, but quality matters more than count. Twenty well-maintained plugins are healthier than eight abandoned ones.

Should we move off WooCommerce?

Probably not. Most of the reasons people give us for leaving turn out to be fixable where they are.

Do you work on multisite?

Yes. Network installs, shared plugins and per-site problems.

Do you take over somebody else's code?

Regularly. Tell us what you know about who built it and we'll work out the rest.

Send us the site address.

One sentence about what it's doing is enough to start.
